Even though the economy is a bust - there is one business that will never go belly up ... well not figuratively speaking ... but literally speaking ... IS the BABY Business ... Bellies seem to be BOOMING lately for me ... and I love it ...
the most recent of these belly pics was Amanda - she and her hubby David are expecting the birth of their baby boy - Jax ... in April ...
Amanda, David and Paige (from my prev sessions) came over on Saturday to do pregger pics. Paige came along to be the stylist and make sure all was looking good on the hair front ... LOL ... It was also Valentine's Day ... so Love was in the air ... Please girls don't give me this "pregger" thing you got going on ... It might be in the water as they say - so I am sticking to Sweet Tea ... haha ... OK OK - enough of my bad humor ... Back to business ...
Amanda a David were in town for their baby shower, they traveled from Ft. Rucker, AL and I was honored to do their belly pics. We had fun and I really enjoyed working with them ... I had my living room rearranged for the studio and we locked my kiddos and my hubby out of the house while we did the shoot , only to be interrupted a few times for emergencies like with mail deliveries and phone calls... LOL ... I want to thank Amanda and David for being great and letting me capture memories for them for years to come. David thinks that if I could come to the base I could make some serious moo-lah as baby making is a specialty on military bases... haha ... I might have to check into being a traveling photographer - I might could retire on what I could make doing that! Congrats on the upcoming birth of baby Jax ... and I am certain you all will make wonderful parents!

Bridget Howerton - Maternity Session

Bridget and Eric Howerton let me into their home today to take some amazing photos in anticipation of the upcoming birth of their little girl - Launa Kate ... We transformed their basement into my traveling studio and I think we got some awesome shots. I had so many favorites but I am going to try to narrow it down so I don't crash blogger with all the photos. I wanted to take a moment to thank you both for being such great models and allowing me into your home. Bridget is one of the most tiny pregger gals I have ever seen ... I would never have guessed she would be giving birth in only a few weeks ... Beautiful lady she is. Thanks again and Congrats on your little one - she will be here before you know it!

Note ... the following photo made "Explore" on Flickr ... What is Expore you ask ... well this is how Flickr defines it ... Interestingness!
Besides being a five syllable word suitable for tongue twisters, it is also an amazing new Flickr Feature.
There are lots of elements that make something 'interesting' (or not) on Flickr. Where the clickthroughs are coming from; who comments on it and when; who marks it as a favorite; its tags and many more things which are constantly changing. Interestingness changes over time, as more and more fantastic content and stories are added to Flickr.
We've added some pages (and changed some existing ones) to help you explore Flickr's most interesting content. Before you start though, you might want to take your phone off the hook, send your boss to an executive training session and block off some time on your schedule, because we don't think you're going to be walking away from your screen any time soon. Beautiful, amazing, moving, striking - explore and discover some of Flickr's Finest.
Here is my photo that made Explore and it came from this photoshoot - it was my 1st time ever being in Explore ... as there are only 500 photos a day selected ... out of MILLIONS uploaded ...

Hannah Kate

I was fortunate to be able to photograph the sweet baby girl of Amy and Kevin Bratton. Amy and I had been trying to get together for some time now, and we finally managed to get a day worked out. The Bratton's let me into their home where I transformed their living room into a photography studio. Hannah was in a great mood - and mom and dad kept her laughing. It was a fun shoot and we got Eli and Garrett involved as well. We propped Hannah up in the teacup and also had her overflowing in the bird nest! It was a hoot. She never cried once that I can remember ... well maybe once - she got a little aggravated with me. All in all I think we captured her essence ... a happy 3 month old baby girl ... who heaven help her when the boys come calling as they will have to get thru a dad and 2 big brothers. Thanks to Amy, Kevin, Eli and Garrett and of course Hannah Kate for letting me into your lives and having the opportunity to capture memories.

Littlest Heroes Project
Basically, this non-profit organization helps photographers meet up with families who have children with life-threatening illnesses. Families choose a photographer in their area and ask them to do a session for them. Photographers donate their time and images and in turn, get to meet some of the bravest human beings on the planet in the process.
I am honored to be part of this wonderful - life changing group. If you or anyone you know has children form newborn to 21 years of age with a life-threatening illness ... that would enjoy a FREE photo session and prints - Please contact me!

The Lemmon Boys

It was a cold cold day - but we managed to pull off some great pics of these 3 brothers ... We had fun at the RR Tracks even when we had to jump off cause a train was coming ... haha - Roby and Brett wanted to rock climb and Kade was happy as long as he had his car. We had fun and these guys were full of energy and were very cooperative! Thank you boys for being good - it is normally tough to get 3 boys to cooperate for pics - I have my hands full trying to get my 2 to behave! But Kip and Heather - you have 3 wonderful boys and I thank you for allowing me to capture them being themselves! I hope you enjoy the pics!
